Weaving the wild into song, Bristol-based singer-songwriter Natalie Fée draws her inspiration from a deep, embodied connection to nature, blending the traditional warmth of folk with poetic lyrics, enchanting harmonies and healing invocations.
A passionate activist and visionary artist, Natalie’s music offers a doorway into another state of being, transporting us back into the arms of nature, wherever we are. Her lyrics and melodies invite us to reconnect with the sense of wonder and awe that modern day life so easily squeezes out.
Natalie first worked with London-based composer and producer, Christopher Nicholas Bangs (whose recent scores include ‘WeCrashed’ for AppleTV+, and ‘Been So Long’ for Netflix), ten years ago on a song that was to be the beginning of her environmental charity, City to Sea. After a decade of campaigning, Natalie returned to Christopher with the beginnings of her first album, Daughter of Nature, and he subsequently signed her to Disruptive Element Records. They began work on the album in summer 2023, and are working towards a full album release in Autumn 2025.
“Natalie’s songs create a familiar feeling, like those quiet moments of deep connection with the land or with loved ones.” Christopher Nicholas Bangs, Producer
Daughter of Nature (September 2024) is the title track of the forthcoming album from Natalie Fée. Produced by Christopher Nicholas Bangs, the song has a warm, ethereal, dreamlike quality with poignant lyrics that invite us to remember our place in the world, as part of nature. The song is based on a real-life experience, which happened to Natalie in the liminal space between sleeping and waking one morning, while spending a weekend away in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons).
Although Natalie is most known for her work as an author of several books, nature poetry and as the founder of City to Sea, her musical roots span back over two decades, mostly through devotional, community song circles, Taizé choirs and in more recent years as one half of the environmental comedy duo, The Funny Terns.
